Do or Don’t: New Year’s Resolutions

What do you think about New Year’s Resolutions? Are they a do or a don’t?

What if it’s not so much about whether it’s worth it to make them or not but rather that they seem unreachable because of the pressure attached to them?

“Exercise 3-5 times a week”

“Cut out sugar”

Don’t these seem a bit overwhelming? What if we break these goals or resolutions down a bit to make them seem more realistic and attainable?

Here are some better ideas:

“Start eating more whole foods. Cut down on the number of processed foods you buy and focus on buying more fruits and vegetables.”

“Find an exercise you enjoy and try it this week. Then slowly increase the number of times per week you do it AND the amount of time or reps.”

“Stop buying those sugary cookies and replace them with something healthier, like strawberries or plain yogurt with a bit of honey, etc.”
